Marketing Committee

The marketing committee is occupied with all internal and external marketing expressions regarding Café in de Smitse. They support and help the commissioner of external relations in maintaining the social media channels, and they help create content. They think of ways to promote our legendary parties and other events, and organize the giveaways. Being responsible for Smitse-related content, they take pictures at our events, and think of new ways to promote our beers. And last but not least, the marketing committee works side by side with the commissioner of external relations on organizing our yearly festival, in association with STAR and JFR, OpenEUR!

Events Committee

Those educative pubquizzes, the thrilling beerbingos, the fantastic parties: all planned and organized by the events committee! This committee supports the commissioner of internal relations by planning the staff parties and events. They help with thinking of themed parties, and decorating the bar.

Barmanak Committee

The Barmanak committee is currently dedicated to creating the most incredible almanac encompassing all things related to Smitse. They are gathering stories from our volunteers and board members, along with captivating pictures, to compile them into a beautifully designed book.

At Café In de Smitse we are always on the lookout for new bartenders who want to join our team!

Café in de Smitse operates as a non-profit foundation and has no paid employees. We work with hard working, beer-loving and enthousiastic volunteers who would love to supply you the best beers and have a great time.

The Smitse doesn’t exist without her volunteers and we are very grateful for them being part of the Smitse family. To show our gratitude towards them we organize awesome activities. At year’s end we go on a weekend trip abroad to have a great time together and create nothing but unforgettable experiences.

In addition, being a volunteer at our lovely café provides you with learning experiences, such as working behind the bar, improving your social skills and taking part in committees.
