The Smitse Supervisory Board plays a crucial role in supporting the board and contributing to the realization of long-term strategies and goals.
The Smitse board provides periodic reports to the Supervisory Board, which, in turn, offers advice and oversees critical decisions. Comprising former board members and individuals with a strong affinity for and innovative ideas about the Smitse, the Supervisory Board actively contributes to the advancement of the organization.
Who are we?
We are Vivian, Frederieke, and Jorden, collectively forming the Audit Committee. Over the past few years, each of us has served in various board positions at Café in de Smitse. Presently, we are all pursuing further education, but our commitment to contributing to the finest student café in the Netherlands persists. Therefore, we take pride in being members of the Audit Committee.
Our role
The Audit Committee serves as the financial oversight entity for the café. Our role involves verifying the accuracy of accounting procedures and ensuring adherence to financial standards. Additionally, we scrutinize expenses to ascertain their justification and alignment with our overarching purpose. Lastly, we monitor the café’s long-term liquidity to ensure its sustained financial well-being.
